Stainless Steel Grating Finish Identification: Photo and Record Boundaries

A bright stainless-steel grating photograph cannot establish the alloy grade or the named finish. For a useful inquiry, record what is visibly observable, then attach the grade, finish and treatment evidence separately. QY can review the requested product description and document set before quotation, while corrosion suitability, compliance and final acceptance remain project decisions.
Describe appearance without turning it into a grade claim
Record whether the surface appears bright, dull, directional, uniform or locally discolored, and note whether the panel is new, installed, cleaned or weathered. These observations help identify follow-up questions. They do not prove stainless grade, pickling, passivation, polishing level, contamination status or corrosion performance.
The approved QY image shows stacked bright-finish grating panels. It supplies product and appearance context only; exact grade, finish, dimensions and service performance require records.
Keep three evidence columns
| Column | Put here | Example boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Visible | Direct observations from the image or sample | Bright surface and stacked panel form |
| Documented | Grade, finish or treatment stated on a traceable record | Certificate, order, drawing or process record reference |
| Unknown | Any value not supported by the first two columns | Alloy, surface process or exposure suitability |
Do not infer material from color or a magnet check alone. If a portable test, certificate or old order is available, identify the item, date and scope it covers rather than assuming it represents every panel.
Prepare the finish-identification request
Send the application and exposure, requested grade wording, requested finish or treatment, panel construction, dimensions, quantity, photographs, available records and the exact unknowns. State whether the request is for quotation, replacement comparison, document review or investigation of an existing surface.
Use the stainless steel grating page for product context and contact QY with the evidence set. QY can identify missing quotation inputs without presenting appearance as proof of grade or performance.
