Guardrail RFQ Guide
Prepare road layout, beam profile, post spacing, terminals, bolts, reflectors, coating and packing details before requesting a guardrail quotation.
Guardrail RFQ preparation
Define road layout, beams, posts and terminals before quotation
A guardrail RFQ should describe the complete road safety system, not only a beam profile. Send road layout, section length, beam type, thickness, post spacing, spacers, terminals, bolts, reflectors, coating, packing marks and destination before quotation.
- Road layout, section list, curves and terminal positions
- W-beam or thrie-beam profile, thickness and standard
- Post section, spacing, spacer type, bolts and terminals
- Galvanized coating, bundle marks, destination and deadline
Guardrail RFQ details by review step
Use this matrix before sending a project inquiry. If the project includes several road sections, separate each section so beam length, posts, terminals, fasteners and reflectors can be checked clearly.
| 1. Road layout and standard | Send project location, road section length, curves, slopes, median or roadside location, drawing revision and required highway safety standard. For product family review, open highway guardrails. |
|---|---|
| 2. Beam profile | Confirm W-beam, thrie-beam or project-specific profile, beam thickness, effective length, hole layout, lap direction and galvanized coating requirement.Profile and thickness should match the drawing or local road standard. |
| 3. Posts and spacers | State C post, U post, sigma post or special post type, post length, spacing, embedded depth, base plate needs, spacer/blockout type and installation condition.Post spacing changes total post, bolt and spacer quantity. |
| 4. Terminals and transitions | List end terminals, transition sections, curved guardrails, bridge connections, special terminal parts and whether municipal or road-side sections are included. For urban barriers, also review municipal guardrails. |
| 5. Fasteners and road safety hardware | Confirm guardrail bolts, nuts, washers, backup plates, reflectors, delineators, connection plates, spacer bolts and any sign bracket requirements supplied with the same road package. For signage supply, see traffic signs. |
| 6. Packing and delivery | List quantities by section, beam bundle marks, post bundle marks, accessory cartons, pallet limits, destination port or delivery address and target deadline.Clear marks reduce sorting work during road installation. |
