Post, Gate & Accessory Notes
Confirm post profile, fixing method, gate opening, hinges, locks, clamps, bolts, coating and packing marks before requesting a fence quotation.
RFQ preparation
Separate the fence panel from the posts, gates and small hardware
Many fence quotations slow down because the panel size is clear, but the post length, base plate, gate set, clamp type or accessory quantity is missing. This page turns those details into a simple buyer checklist.
Need panel size, layout length and mesh opening first?
Use Fence Panel RFQ Guide for fence height, panel width, mesh opening, coating and section layout before finalizing posts, gates and accessories.

Post, gate and accessory review matrix
| RFQ item | Details to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Fence posts | Square, round, peach or special post; length; wall thickness; spacing; buried or base plate fixing. | Controls installation method, steel weight, hole position and export packing. |
| Gates | Single or double leaf, clear opening, frame tube, infill mesh, hinges, latch, lock and stop plate. | Prevents mismatch between gate frame, posts and site opening direction. |
| Clamps and brackets | Metal or plastic clips, U clamps, connection plates, corner brackets and anti-theft bolts. | Small hardware often causes installation delays if not counted with the panels. |
| Finish and packing | Hot-dip galvanized, powder coated color, stainless hardware, bundle marks and carton labels. | Improves coating consistency and helps the site team sort parts by zone. |
